Welcome to our new Directors

19 November 2020

Cathedral Music Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of its two Directors, Cathryn Dew (Operations Director) and Natasha Morris (Development Director). Together they will lead on creating a strategic vision for the Trust to ensure that our treasured cathedral choirs not only survive but thrive and flourish as we emerge from the pandemic and thereafter.

Having completed a DPhil in music at the University of York, Cathryn put her love of Early Music to good use running the education programme at the National Centre for Early Music, then moved to Worcestershire, where she combined running a choral singing programme for young people with leading music workshops up and down the UK. When she and her husband returned to the UK after spending a few years living in Germany, she began working in arts administration. She very much enjoys listening to the choir at Norwich Cathedral, where her son is a chorister.

Natasha sang as a choral scholar for the Choirs of Jesus College Cambridge, which sparked a life-long love of choral and sacred music. She joins the Trust from her role as Corporate Partnerships Manager at Opera North where her work in development and fundraising helps enable the company to use music and performance to connect with communities and inspire new generations. Prior to this, Natasha worked in individual giving, leading regular and major donor campaigns at Jesus College Cambridge and York Minster. She is Chair of the Board for York Music Hub, and is a passionate advocate for a diverse, high-quality and inclusive arts and cultural sector and of the transformational impact this has on individuals and communities.
