Big Give for Choral Pathways

Earlier this month we took part in the Big Give campaign, raising vital funds for our Choral Pathways for Teenagers Programme – a new education pathway to encourage singing by nurturing musicianship, building confidence, and opening up future opportunities. We are delighted and very grateful for the generous gifts that helped us to exceed our match-funding target. We raised an incredible £13,085 towards the Choral Pathways programme, with Big Give match funding contributing up to £5,500.

ABOUT THE BIG GIVE

The Big Give is a charitable fundraising platform that runs match-funded campaigns, meaning every donation made during a campaign is doubled.

What is the Choral Pathways Programme for Teenagers?

The Choral Pathways Programme will offer teenagers a unique opportunity to explore cathedral choral singing, grow their musical skills, and gain confidence in performance. Beyond the singers themselves, it will strengthen connections between cathedrals and schools, support teachers and music leaders through professional development, and help nurture a vibrant, long-term future for music education in local communities.

Through the Programme we will enable teenagers to experience the joy of choral singing in secondary schools with our cathedral partners, leading to performances alongside professional cathedral choirs and opportunities for teenagers to join new cathedral youth choirs. Teenagers will receive vocal training and regular performance opportunities developing their potential. Teachers will receive choral leadership training, boosting scope for more choral provision in schools.

We continue to raise funds for the Programme, if you would like to make a contribution please make a one-off gift via our website here or get in touch at [email protected] to discuss how you can support us further.
