Music sharing in Barnard Castle

A new project with Whorlton Parish Church

The Choir of St Mary’s, Barnard Castle, with Whorlton Parish Church in the North East, which already has a thriving music outreach programme with a Community Choir of fifty plus members and a Community Orchestra of over forty players, have recently established a Music Sharing Project.

Annette Butters, the Director of Music and Beverley Pilcher, a member of the choir, have collaborated to produce a collection of 12 short anthems for the liturgical year, which are written with the smaller church choir in mind or for those churches with limited musical resources or rehearsal time. They can be sung by two or more voices and are very short and easy with an accessible vocal range. They can be accompanied on the organ, (with or without pedals), or keyboard.

The sheet music is free to download and share.
