Where did your musical journey begin?
Small Sounds is our new early years programme, starting the youngest children on their own musical journey.
During this first year, we are helping five cathedrals across England run free, weekly music sessions for 0-5s and their families, in areas of the country where children face barriers to their development. Now, we need your help to fund the growth of Small Sounds, so that even more young children across the UK can discover the joy of singing.
All donations doubled
Our objective is to raise £20,000 (including £10,000 of matched funding) to fund the expansion of Small Sounds to twelve cathedrals and churches in 2025.
Make a donation today and your support will go twice as far!
Will you help us raise £20,000 by 30 April?
What’s the need?
Did you know that 20% of five year olds aren’t meeting early learning goals in communication and language?
Small Sounds is giving youngsters a musical start in life, which in turn supports their language development and wellbeing. What’s more, parents and carers from all walks of life are increasing in confidence to make music at home, and connect with others in their local area.
Cathedral music leaders are gaining the skills to run high quality, enriching sessions, cathedrals are reaching out to more members of their communities, and the pipeline for our cherished choral tradition will continue to grow.
My daughter loves it. As soon as we sit down it is clear that she is waiting for the Small Sounds Session to start!

Make it happen
Help us to meet our £10,000 donation target so we can release a further £10,000 in matched funding, enabling us to reach more communities and impact the lives of more youngsters across the UK.
Don’t miss your chance to make your donation go even further!
