Our Grants

Our grants help maintain and develop the work of choral foundations across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Since its foundation in 1956, Friends of Cathedral Music has given over £4 million in grants to choral foundations.  Cathedral Music Trust seeks to continue and expand this work.

The impact of our grants

Church Choir Award

Working in partnership with the Royal School of Church Music, Cathedral Music Trust is running the Church Choir Award for a third year. Choirs which do not usually qualify for the Trust's main grant programme may apply for up to £10,000 to fund an innovative or enriching project. The application window will open after Easter, 2024.

Cathedral Music Support Programme

Cathedral Music Trust invites applications from eligible organisations to our Cathedral Music Support Programme. Organisations can apply for up to £30,000 to be spent within two years.

The application window opens 2 January 2024. The deadline for applications is 23 February 2024.
